100 Words - Cory Whitehead
“In the 10 years since I graduated, marketing and communications have changed dramatically. Word-of-mouth is more powerful than ever and the trust in organizations lower than ever. Social media takes this to a whole new level—from being able to interact directly with celebrities to being able to praise or critique a business to the masses. Businesses must be involved in social media, but it’s a blessing and a curse. Social media allows you to get instant interaction and feedback from customers and gauge what they think of you, but you also must act quickly when problems are uncovered.”
